Sebastian grinned. “But of course,” he drawled, shifting his weight to one side as he looked the muscular Nord up and down. “You can just stand there and look pretty.” Which he did rather well, all things considered. He had the whole ‘dark and mysterious’ thing going on rather nicely, though he could use a bath. Nice beard, though. And great biceps.

The Breton’s eyes lingered on the biceps in question for a few moments as he spoke, registering the fact that Lund wasn’t moving.

“As much as I bet you like looking at me and vice versa, should we get going?” he asked mildly, apparently feeling quite breezy about the vampire hunt.

Lund’s stare became a few degrees colder for a brief moment preceding him turning around and walking with some amount of natural quiet. True, because of his size he couldn’t quite walk silently, but his years of skulking through the swamps had done plenty for his footsteps. The thud of weight could be heard, as would be expected from a man of his size and build, but it was softened by thousands of footsteps in places where movement and discretion were needed simultaneously.

He turned around to make sure Sebastian was following, thinking over the “You can just stand there and look pretty.” comment. Sebastian’s preoccupation with him didn’t make him uneasy, as he seemed to intend no harm; Lund just hoped to himself that the conjurer wouldn’t start getting physical again, but contact with magic-users usually made him feel that way regardless. In appearance Lund knew it looked like he could easily disable and overpower the Breton, but if Sebastian was experienced as he let on then he would be unable to do much at all to fend him off aside from surrender, which for all Lund knew was something Sebastian would find very provocative to his own interests.

“Not trap their souls in gems,” he protested. “If they’re rogue mages conducting unethical experiments, it’s my duty to stop them. If they have black soul gems lying around, that’s a bonus to me. Same with vampires, if they’re the evil sort.” Really, it was all perfectly moral. From his point of view, anyway.

Oh, but at least Lund had news. This way, he was guaranteed vampire dust at least, and if these vampires were mages then he had a good chance of gaining some black soul gems regardless.

The Breton nodded and smiled, apparently unconcerned with the thought of a powerful vampiric matriarch. “Sounds fair to me, at least. We’d really be doing a civil service.” Because those lazy guards were far too occupied with their towns.

“Will you just be showing the way, or do you want to help?” he asked. Generally he worked alone, but if Lundbundle wanted to help he wouldn’t stop him. Besides, it might give him an idea of how good these Witch Hunters were.

“I suppose I can help since I’ll be leading you to it… You’ll be able to handle most anything anyway, won’t you?”

If Lund recalled correctly, the Breton openly bragged about being a powerful sorcerer; although he didn’t quite act the part, so doubts were plentiful. To him Sebastian was very proud and uninhibited, he couldn’t imagine a powerful mage reaching a remarkable ability without much discipline… unless he had it and just didn’t show it.

The Magically-Inclined were an odd bunch. Odd, but entertaining. A method to express this, however, didn’t come to mind, so he stayed quiet about the matter.

Lund lowered his hood and rubbed his jaw, looking the Breton over once more.

Lund jumped and turned around, standing up rather quickly and pulling his sword from his sheath enough to reveal some of the metal before he let go and let it slide back to its resting position. He stared at Sebastian for a short moment as he crossed his arms, looking him over.

“Lundbundle?” He repeated back as a question, raising his eyebrows. “And I’ve been fine. What’s brought you to Hjaalmarch?”

Oh, he was rather jumpy. Sebastian supposed he would be too, if he were relaxing in such a secluded area only to be interrupted by a dashing mage. Oh well. Lund looked the same as ever. Tall, brooding, and straight to the point.

“Lundbundle,” he confirmed sagely. “That’s good. Hjaalmarch is quite a dangerous place, after all.” Wispmothers, necromancers, vampires, rogue mages, wolves, slaughterfish, mudcrabs, bandits, thugs, skeletons, giants. Maybe the odd dragon.

“Well, I’ve heard that Hjaalmarch tends to attract more supernatural activity than the other Holds… You know. Vampires, rogue mages, things like that. I happen to be running quite low on black soul gems and vampire dust, so I was hoping you might know where rogues or vampires might be hiding.” Witch Hunters knew that sort of thing, didn’t they? “I’d be more than happy to provide you with compensation.” Sebastian flashed the Nord a quick smile.

He raised a skeptical brow.

“So you want me to lead you to a group of people so that you can trap their souls in gems, or to another so that you can kill them…?”

He didn’t mention the payment, but it was on his mind. He’d been meaning to finally free himself of the muck and spiders of Hjaalmarch and go exploring, and money was something he’d needed. But he didn’t want to lead him to any of the mage groups he’d been trying to talk down, but there was something he’d thought of.

“There is… a vampire. A hive of them, actually, but they’re led by a matriarch who’s supposed to be very powerful.” He said plainly, rubbing the back of his neck.

“Supposedly, they’ve been rounding up people and draining their blood. Someone escaped not too long ago and that’s how we got word of it. It’s a little ways out of where I usually work, but it isn’t too far… If you’re interested in that, anyway.”

Some ways away, Lund had sat himself underneath a tree where the ground was dry. His hood was pulled over his eyes so as to block out the midday sun’s beating and incessant reminder it was daytime. He’d usually worked at night, and because of this his guard was anything but down. He didn’t need to see to know what was happening around him, although he hadn’t heard the spell being cast.

He sighed through his nose and shifted his weight somewhat, right hand on his sword. The swamps had been quiet lately, and he never got much in the way of supernatural occurrences anyway. He’d always had to go out and search for those, usually.

Ah. There it was. A large bluish flickering blob of life energy. A quick Detect Dead spell revealed no undead in the area- just how he preferred it. Was that him? Probably. Bandits rarely traveled alone, and the average citizen had no reason to have a midday nap in the middle of the swampy marshlands. Few enough people in Morthal, regardless.

Casting a quiet Muffle spell, Sebastian snooped over behind the trunk of the tree, peeking around it gingerly to see whose day he was interrupting. Yes, it was him. Big, bearded, dark-haired, good-looking but with very little idea of how handsome he was… That was Lund. The Breton grinned warmly.

“Hello again, Lundbundle. How have you been?”

Hjaalmarch was not a very prosperous or friendly hold. The swampy terrain and constant dampness, not to mention the fog and lack of much light did not make for tourist-worthy land. Which was what made it attractive for a surprising number of rogue mages. Where would he find them? That was the question. Lund would know, surely. That big Nord with the muscular ass. Finding him was no easy matter, though. The Breton stepped delicately around a muddy fern as he searched, casting Detect Life.

((Idris!Mod and I decided to retcon the interactions between Lund and Idris and start with a clean slate, so I deleted all of those posts and lo-and-behold they were a lot of posts. But everything else is still normal.

I also deleted some other posts I didn’t want anymore.

Including that one of Lund laying down because I saw it and went NO I CAN DO BETTER NOW

Sebastian smiled, allowing the Nord to pull him up and put him down again. “Well, I could go for an alternative area if you’d prefer…” he drawled, copying Lund’s pose. “And I know both. Thank you for your concern.” He winked and sauntered off.

Sebastian approached this last man somewhat gingerly. He couldn't find anyone else close by, and the Nord would serve well enough. Approaching ninja-style, Sebastian stepped in front of the Nord and spoke quickly. "My apologies, sir. Grey-mages' doing." The Breton unashamedly groped a handful of firm Witch Hunter ass and used the other hand on Lund's shoulder to hoist himself up and kiss him on the cheek.

Lund’s face contorted into a confused frown, as the Breton did so and just as he opened his mouth to yell at Sebastian, the Breton kissed him on the cheek and he frowned further.

“Alright.” He said, gripping Sebastian’s collar and pulling him up a bit, so that he’d have to stand on his toes as Lund leaned down and got close to his face.

“I’ll accept it as being some random magic butt-groping and cheek-kissing this once, and I’ll be thankful you chose my face cheeks instead of any other alternatives to kiss… But I wouldn’t recommend trying that again unless you happen to know some invisibility or teleportation spells.”

He released the Breton and stood up straight, crossing his arms, and glaring down at him.

/approaching his final target with the most fervor, he pounces on the Nord from the front, grappling for a good hold, before finding the perfect place on his cheek to smack a kiss/ Mm, 'pologies, Sera. /hops off and dashes off into the woods/ -A
